Raiding
A raid is a lowered flag. Anyone not on the roster, at a declared base, hands on the pole.
A player who is not on a clan's roster lowers that clan's flag at the clan's declared base. That is a raid. No breach, no damage, no kill required.
What the server can see
The log records who lowered which flag at which pole, and nothing about walls, explosives or loot. The flag is the only raid signal there is, so the flag is the raid.
Credit
- If the raider is in a clan, their clan scores (The scoreboard). The raider gets a raid credit on their own profile.
- If the raider is a solo, the raid is real and announced, and the victim's 24-hour clock starts — but nobody scores. There is no clan to credit.
- One credit per raiding clan, per victim clan, per 24 hours, counted from the first lower. Lower it five times in a night and it is one raid. A different clan lowering it is a different raid.
- Lowering your own clan's flag is upkeep, not a raid.
- Lowering a flag at an undeclared pole is nothing. There is no clan there to raid.
- A dormant clan's flag is already down, so it cannot be raided for points. A reserved clan has not activated yet and has nothing at stake.
Why lowering is enough
Because it is the only thing the server sees, and because it makes where you put your pole a real decision. Bury the flag deep in the compound or lose it to one player with good timing. Sneaking counts. Infiltration counts. Slipping through an open gate counts. If you do not like that, build a better base.
When you can raid
Base damage is switched on by the server only during the raid window: Friday 00:00 UTC to Monday 00:00 UTC. Outside it, walls do not take damage — but boosting in, open gates and lowered flags are all legal all week, and all score. See Fair play for what a legal boost raid may and may not do.

Raids and defenses together
If the victim re-raises and the same clan lowers the flag again inside the 24 hours, it is still the same raid for scoring — but the defense in between still counts as a defense for the victim. See Defending.
